LCB history talk in Chicago

Hey, Chicago folks. On May 9th, I'll be doing a special presentation about the history of Le Cordon Bleu for the Culinary Historians of Chicago. The morning will cover French knights to Julia Child to the explosive growth of the whole LCB brand, along with my own experiences inside the famed Paris school. Samplings of classic French fare will be on offer. From 10 a.m. to noon, Chicago History Museum. It's a bargain, too. Cost is $5, $3 for students. To reserve, e-mail rsvpchc@yahoo.com

Afterward, join me for a special lunch with ChicaGourmets at Chez Joel, 1119 W. Taylor St. Cost is about $60. For more details, go to ChicaGourmets.org

By the way, I'm collecting stories from LCB alumni about their experiences, particularly the London and Paris schools from 1945 to 1990. Some of them will be included in this talk, and as part of a presentation for a worldwide LCB alumni reunion planned for 2010. Drop me a line.
